SENATE AMENDMENT 2, TO SENATE BILL 616

SB616-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB616-SA2,1,2 1. Page 1, line 2: delete “waivers" and substitute “reductions".

SB616-SA2,1,4 2. Page 1, line 3: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 2, line 5, and substitute:

SB616-SA2,1,5 “ Section 1g. 45.44 (3m) of the statutes is created to read:

SB616-SA2,1,10 45.44 (3m) Reduced fee for certain licenses. An applicant who is applying for an initial license specified under sub. (1) (a) 16. and who has received a previous fee waiver under the program established under sub. (2), but who is otherwise eligible for a fee waiver under the program, shall pay a fee for the license that is equal to 10 percent of the standard fee for that license.”.

SB616-SA2,1,11 3. Page 2, line 5: after that line insert:

SB616-SA2,1,12 “ Section 1n. 71.78 (4) (u) of the statutes is created to read:

SB616-SA2,2,2 71.78 (4) (u) The department of safety and professional services for the purpose of reducing an initial credential fee under s. 440.052.

SB616-SA2,1r Section 1r. 440.03 (11m) (c) 4. of the statutes is amended to read:

SB616-SA2,2,8 440.03 (11m) (c) 4. For a social security number obtained under par. (a), the department of revenue for the purpose of requesting certifications under s. 73.0301, administering the initial credential fee reduction under s. 440.052, and administering state taxes and the department of workforce development for the purpose of requesting certifications under s. 108.227.”.

SB616-SA2,2,10 5. Page 2, line 23: delete “no fee may be charged to".

SB616-SA2,2,11 6. Page 2, line 23: after “individual" insert “applying".

SB616-SA2,2,13 7. Page 2, line 24: after “reciprocal credential" insert “shall pay a fee for the credential that is equal to 10 percent of the standard fee for that credential".
