1An Act to amend 302.045 (2) (c) and 302.05 (3) (a) 1. of the statutes;
relating
2to: exclude persons who are incarcerated for illegal possession of a firearm from
3participation in the Challenge Incarceration Program and in the Wisconsin
4Substance Abuse Program.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, inmates may participate in the Challenge Incarceration
Program and the Wisconsin Substance Abuse Program. Certain inmates are
excluded from participation based on the crime for which they are incarcerated. This
bill excludes inmates who are incarcerated for the illegal possession of a firearm.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
