AB705,1,2 An Act to create 302.075 of the statutes; relating to: staff required to be on duty at prisons.

Under this bill, a warden or superintendent of each prison must ensure that, at that prison, at least one guard tower staff person is on duty in the guard tower and one perimeter staff person is on duty at all times.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB705,1 Section 1. 302.075 of the statutes is created to read:

AB705,2,2 302.075 Certain staff required. The warden or superintendent of each prison shall ensure that, if the prison has a guard tower, at least one guard tower staff person is on duty in the guard tower at all times and that one perimeter staff person is on duty at all times. If a warden or superintendent violates a requirement under this section, the warden or superintendent shall submit a report to the joint committee on finance.
