4important and lasting impact on the lives of our children; and
SJR52,1,65 Whereas, teachers spend countless hours preparing lessons, evaluating
6progress, counseling and coaching students, and performing community service; and
SJR52,1,87 Whereas, teachers fill many roles as educators, encouragers, listeners,
8explorers, role models, motivators, and mentors; and
SJR52,1,109 Whereas, teachers keep American democracy alive by laying the foundation for
10good citizenship and work hard to develop the leaders of tomorrow; and
SJR52,1,1211 Whereas, the future of our country depends upon providing quality education
12to all students in our state; and
SJR52,1,1513 Whereas, the legislature has an opportunity to commend and recognize the
14outstanding work of public, private, and home school educators across Wisconsin and
15the United States; and
1Whereas, Teacher Appreciation Week honors the impact teachers have on our
2students and communities; now, therefore, be it

4hereby recognizes May 8 through May 12, 2017, as National Teacher Appreciation
