Announcements, Adjournment Honors, and Remarks Under Special Privilege
Senator Wirch, with unanimous consent, asked that the Senate adjourn in honor of Nikki Payne of Kenosha. Nikki is a tireless community leader and advocate for many causes. She works for SEWRPC, the regional planning commission for a 7-county area including Kenosha and Racine. Nikki is a cancer survivor and gives back by giving her time to the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. She is a member of the Kenosha Public Library Foundation Board, the 2021 Kenosha Kindness Week Committee, and the Urban League of Racine and Kenosha Board. Nikki is an enthusiastic alumna of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; she is the proud wife of Peter and mother to Sarah and Joey. Nikki will be celebrating her 50th birthday on May 22 with a family trip to Disneyworld, a place very special to her and her family. Happy birthday to Nikki, and thank you for your community leadership.
