AR4,1,42 Whereas, the members of the Wisconsin State Assembly support the people's
3right to peacefully assemble and exercise their First Amendment right to freedom
4of speech; and
AR4,1,75 Whereas, peaceful political protest has a long and consequential history in this
6country and has contributed to making the United States of America a better and
7more just nation; and
AR4,1,108 Whereas, during this past year violence has erupted during political
9demonstrations and protests, causing serious harm to persons and the destruction
10of property; and
AR4,1,1311 Whereas, individuals engaging in violent acts during protests and
12demonstrations undermine the very political and social causes that they profess to
13support; and
AR4,1,1514 Whereas, political violence is strongly condemned by all responsible citizens
15regardless of party affiliation; now, therefore, be it

1Resolved by the assembly, That political violence in any form has no place in
2the American system of government and should never be tolerated.
