29.164 (4) (b), Stats., the Department of Natural Resources will hold public hearings on Natural Resources Board Emergency Order No. WM-10-06(E) relating to the issuance of turkey hunting permits. This emergency order has an effective date of March 1, 2006. The emergency rule allows the department to issue turkey tags remaining after the initial permit drawing in accordance with state statute, which is first-come, first-served. Additionally, code language is updated to accurately describe how permits are currently issued and establishes that no person may obtain more than one turkey carcass tag per day.
