Effect on Small Business
Pursuant to s.
227.114, Stats., it is not anticipated that the proposed rules will have a significant economic impact on small businesses.
Environmental Impact
The Department has made a preliminary determination that this action does not involve significant adverse environmental effects and does not need an environmental analysis under ch.
NR 150, Wis. Adm. Code. However, based on the comments received, the Department may prepare an environmental analysis before proceeding with the proposal. This environmental review document would summarize the Department's consideration of the impacts of the proposal and reasonable alternatives.

NR 25, Wis. Adm. Code, relating to the use and marking of commercial fishing trap nets in Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. Please note that this public hearing is intended to obtain input on alternatives or variations to the proposed rule for consideration by the Department and the Natural Resources Board.
