Required under s. 39.86 (2) (d), Stats
The Wisconsin Distance Learning Authorization Board was created by 2015 Wisconsin Act 208, which was enacted on March 1, 2016. The Board was created to allow Wisconsin to seek membership in the reciprocity agreement for distance education created by the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA).
Wisconsin was approved as a participating SARA state as of August 15. Wisconsin’s state membership was necessary before any Wisconsin-based institutions of higher education offering distance education could choose to join SARA. Publication of this notice fulfills the requirements of s. 39.86 (2) (d), Wis. Stats.
