Notice of Submittal of Proposed Rule to
Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse
On September 8, 2020, the Department of Natural Resources submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Clearinghouse pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Wis. Stats.
The proposed rules affect Chapters NR 700 to 758, relating to financial responsibility for engineering controls for contaminated sediment remediation, and insurance and financial responsibility for Voluntary Party Liability Exemption projects with contaminated sediments.
A related emergency rule, Board Order RR-11-17(E), affecting similar Administrative Code provisions contained in this proposed rule and relating to the same purpose, has been published and is in effect.
Statement of Scope
The scope statement for this rule, SS 114-18, was approved by the Governor on November 9, 2018, published in Register No. 755A3 on November 19, 2018, and approved by the Natural Resources Board on January 23, 2019.
Agency Procedure for Promulgation
A public hearing is required and will be held on October 16, 2020.
