On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.

The scope statement for this rule, SS 007-21, was published in Register No. 781A3, on January 19, 2021, and approved by State Superintendent Carolyn Stanford Taylor on February 3, 2021.

A related emergency rule affecting the same rules contained in this proposed rule and relating to the same purpose as this proposed rule has been submitted to Governor Evers for approval and is pending at the time of the filing of this notice.

The proposed rule amends chs. PI 35, 48, and 49, relating to Parental Choice and Special Needs Scholarship Programs offsetting revenue, statements of actual cost, and affecting small business.

Public hearings will be scheduled as required under s. 227.16 (1), Stats.
