Notice of Submittal of Proposed Rule to
Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse
On October 28, 2021, the Department of Natural Resources submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Clearinghouse pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Wis. Stats. Analysis
The proposed rules affect Chapter NR 809, relating to the promulgation of new drinking water maximum contaminant levels for Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) including Perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA).
Statement of Scope
The scope statement for this rule, SS 089-19, was approved by the Governor on August 27, 2019, published in Register No. 765A1 on September 3, 2019, and approved by the Natural Resources Board on January 22, 2020. Agency Procedure for Promulgation
A public hearing is required and will be held on December 1, 2021.
