NOTICE OF SUBMITTAL OF PROPOSED RULE TO
TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RULES CLEARINGHOUSE
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announces that it has referred the following proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse, pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Stats.
Analysis
The proposed rule repeals and recreates ATCP 78 relating to the regulation of recreational and educational camps, and affecting small business.
Statement of Scope and Proposed Rule
The scope statement for this rule, SS 126-19, was approved by the Governor on December 5, 2019, published in Register No. 768A4 on December 23, 2019, and approved by the Board of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection as required by s. 227.135(2), Stats., on March 5, 2020. The proposed hearing draft of the rule was approved by the Board of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection as required by s. 227.136(2), Stats., on December 16, 2021.
Agency Procedure for Promulgation
The department will hold public hearings on this rule on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in Eau Claire, Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Wausau, Thursday, February 17, 2022 in Rhinelander, Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Madison, and Thursday, March 3, 2022 virtual. The hearings will be held through a means that is fully compliant with Wisconsin law and COVID-19 protocols.
