NOTICE OF SUBMITTAL OF RULES TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RULES CLEARINGHOUSE

Chapter PI 11, Children with Disabilities

On December 1, 2021, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.

The scope statement for this rule, SS 086-21, was published in Register No. 790A3, on October 18, 2021, and approved by State Superintendent Jill K. Underly, on November 1, 2021.

A related emergency rule affecting the same rules contained in this proposed rule and relating to the same purpose as this proposed rule is pending at the time of the filing of this notice and will take effect upon publication in the official state newspaper pursuant to the authority granted by s. 227.24, Stats.

The proposed rule amends ch. PI 11, relating to specific learning disability evaluations in homeschool and private school settings.

Public hearings will be scheduled as required under s. 227.16 (1), Stats.
