Notice of Submittal of Proposed Rule to
Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse
On January 3, 2022, the Department of Safety and Professional Services submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Clearinghouse pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Wis. Stats. Analysis
The proposed rule affects chapters SPS 200 to 202, relating to sign language interpreter authority, definitions, scope of practice, professional conduct, and identification cards.
Statement of Scope
The scope statement for this rule, SS 017-20, was approved by the Governor on March 19, 2020, published in Register No. 772A1 on April 6, 2020, and approved by the Secretary of the Department of Safety and Professional Services on April 27, 2020. Agency Procedure for Promulgation
A public hearing is required and will be held on February 4, 2022.
