Notice of Submittal of Proposed Rule to
Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse
On September 16, 2022, the Department of Natural Resources submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Clearinghouse pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Wis. Stats. Analysis
The proposed rules affect Chapter NR 140, relating to setting numerical standards to minimize the concentration of polluting substances in groundwater (Cycle 10 Bacteria). Statement of Scope
The scope statement for this rule, SS 021-22, was approved by the Governor on March 18, 2022, published in Register No. 795A3 on March 21, 2022, and approved by the Natural Resources Board on May 25, 2022. Agency Procedure for Promulgation
A public hearing is required and will be held on October 21, 2022.
