NOTICE OF SUBMITTAL OF PROPOSED RULE TO

TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RULES CLEARINGHOUSE

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announces that it has referred the following proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse, pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Stats.

Analysis

The proposed rule amends ATCP 1 relating to Administrative Rules and Contested Cases.

Statement of Scope and Proposed Rule

The scope statement for this rule, SS 027-22, was approved by the Governor on March 17, 2022, published in Register No. 796A1 on April 4, 2022, and approved by the Board of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection as required by s. 227.135(2), Stats., on May 12, 2022. The proposed hearing draft of the rule was approved by the Board of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection as required by s. 227.136(2), Stats., on September 22, 2022.

Agency Procedure for Promulgation

The department will hold a public hearing on this rule on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, through a means that is fully compliant with Wisconsin law.
