Notice of Submittal of Proposed Rule to Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse
On October 2, 2023, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Clearinghouse pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Wis. Stats. Analysis
The proposed rule affects Chapters ATCP 90, ATCP 91, and ATCP 92, relating to fair packaging and labeling; selling commodities by weight, measure, or count; and weights and measures. No related emergency rules will be necessary.
Statement of Scope
The scope statement for this rule, SS 073-22, was approved by the Governor on August 25, 2022, published in Register No. 800B, on August 29, 2022, and approved by the Board of the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection on November 17, 2022. Agency Procedure for Promulgation
The hearing draft rule was approved by the Board of the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection on September 21, 2023. A public hearing is required and will be held on a date to be determined in December 2023.
