Notice of Submittal of Proposed Rule to
Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse
On January 26, 2024, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Clearinghouse pursuant to Wis. Stat § 227.15 (1). Analysis
The proposed rule affects Chapter ATCP 93, relating to storage of flammable, combustible, and hazardous liquids and affecting small businesses. No related emergency rules will be necessary.
Statement of Scope
The scope statement for this rule, SS 009-23, was approved by the Governor on January 19, 2023, published in Register No. 805B, on January 30, 2023, and approved by the Board of the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection on May 11, 2023. A scope statement hearing was held on March 27, 2023, at the request of the Joint Committee on the Review of Administrative Rules. The department received no comments. The hearing draft rule was approved by the Board of the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection on January 25, 2024. A public hearing is required and will be held on a date to be determined in March 2024.
