1995 WISCONSIN ACT 214
An Act to amend 939.45 (5) (a) 3. and 948.01 (3) of the statutes; relating to: crimes against children and persons responsible for a child.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
214,1 Section 1 . 939.45 (5) (a) 3. of the statutes is amended to read:
939.45 (5) (a) 3. “Person responsible for the child's welfare" includes the child's parent, stepparent or guardian; an employe of a public or private residential home, institution or agency in which the child resides or is confined or that provides services to the child; or any other person legally responsible for the child's welfare in a residential setting.
214,2 Section 2 . 948.01 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
948.01 (3) “Person responsible for the child's welfare" includes the child's parent; stepparent; guardian; foster parent; treatment foster parent; an employe of a public or private residential home, institution or agency; other person legally responsible for the child's welfare in a residential setting; or a person employed by one legally responsible for the child's welfare to exercise temporary control or care for the child.
214,3 Section 3 . Initial applicability.
(1)  This act first applies to offenses committed on the effective date of this subsection.
