ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, To 1995 ASSEMBLY BILL 502

AB502-ASA1,1,4 An Act to create 40.02 (3) (c) and 40.02 (22m) of the statutes; relating to: the calculation of a retirement annuity for educational support personnel employes participating in the Wisconsin retirement system and making an appropriation.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB502-ASA1, s. 1 Section 1. 40.02 (3) (c) of the statutes is created to read:

AB502-ASA1,1,9 40.02 (3) (c) For an educational support personnel employe who terminates participating employment on or after July 1, 1997, it means the period beginning on July 1 and ending on the following June 30. This paragraph applies to periods beginning after June 30, 1997.

AB502-ASA1, s. 2 Section 2. 40.02 (22m) of the statutes is created to read:

AB502-ASA1,1,12 40.02 (22m) "Educational support personnel employe" means a person who is a school district employe, but who is not a teacher.

AB502-ASA1, s. 3 Section 3. Appropriation changes.

AB502-ASA1,2,7 (1) In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of employe trust funds under section 20.515 (1) (w) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1995, the dollar amount is increased by $180,400 for fiscal year 1996-97 to increase the authorized FTE positions for the department by 1.75 SEG project positions for the period beginning on July 1, 1996, and ending on June 30, 1997, for the purpose of implementing changes relating to the determination of the annual earnings period for educational support personnel employes.".
