5302.26, except that for purposes of s. 302.26 this section constitutes legislative

for purposes of s. 302.26 of contracts between the department and the state

Corrections compact; contracts with other states;
11approval. The secretary is responsible for performing all functions necessary or
12incidental to carrying out the requirements of the interstate corrections compact
13under s. 302.25. The secretary may delegate and redelegate any of the functions as
14provided in s. 15.02 (4).
A If a contract
involving under s. 301.21 or 302.25 involves 15the transfer of more than 10 prisoners
in any fiscal year to any one state
in any fiscal
16year or to any one political subdivision of another state, the contract may be entered
1into
under s. 302.25 only if
the contract it is approved by the legislature by law or by
2the joint committee on finance.".
