ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 1997 ASSEMBLY BILL 273

AB273-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB273-AA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 12: delete "the regulation".

AB273-AA1,1,5 2. Page 2, line 1: delete the material beginning with "of" and ending with "penalities" on line 2 and substitute "adding a 2nd dental hygienist to the membership of the dentistry examining board".

AB273-AA1,1,6 3. Page 3, line 1: delete lines 1 to 4.

AB273-AA1,1,7 4. Page 3, line 11: delete lines 11 to 16 and substitute:

AB273-AA1,1,9 "(a) Five of the members shall be licensed dentists in this state. One member shall be a dentists who are licensed under ch. 447.

AB273-AA1,1,13 (b) Two dental hygienist hygienists who are licensed to practice in this state under ch. 447. Notwithstanding s. 15.08 (1m) (a), the dental hygienist member members may participate in the preparation and grading of licensing examinations for dental hygienists.

AB273-AA1,2,1 (c) Two public members shall be public members.".

AB273-AA1,2,3 5. Page 3, line 17: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 18, line 18 and substitute:

AB273-AA1,2,4 " Section 2m. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB273-AA1,2,8 (1) Notwithstanding the length of the terms specified in section 15.405 (6) of the statutes, as affected by this act, the initial term of the additional member appointed under section 15.405 (6) (b) of the statutes, as affected by this act, shall expire on July 1, 2002.".
