AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA2,20,22 21(10vx) Transfer of office of justice assistance functions to department of
22justice.
AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA2,21,223 (a) On the effective date of this paragraph, the assets and liabilities of the
24department of administration primarily related to the office of justice assistance, as

1determined by the secretary of administration, shall become the assets and liabilities
2of the department of justice.
AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA2,21,83 (b) On the effective date of this paragraph, all FTE and LTE positions in the
4department of administration performing duties primarily related to the office of
5justice assistance, as determined by the secretary of administration, and the
6incumbent employees holding those positions, other than the employees holding the
7positions described under Section 9131 (1vv), (1vw), and (1vx) of this act, are
8transferred to the department of justice.
AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA2,21,149 (c) Employees transferred under paragraph (b) have all the rights and the same
10status under subchapter V of chapter 111 and chapter 230 of the statutes in the
11department of justice that they enjoyed in the department of administration
12immediately before the transfer. Notwithstanding section 230.28 (4) of the statutes,
13no employee so transferred who has attained permanent status in class is required
14to serve a probationary period.
AB1-ASA1-AA1-AA2,21,1815 (d) On the effective date of this paragraph, all tangible personal property,

17the office of justice assistance, as determined by the secretary of administration, is
18transferred to the department of justice.

24of justice to the extent allowed under the contract.

1(f) All rules promulgated by the department of administration that are in effect
2on the effective date of this paragraph and that are primarily related to the office of
3justice assistance, as determined by the secretary of administration, remain in effect
4until their specified expiration date or until amended or repealed by the department

6on the effective date of this paragraph and that are primarily related to the office of
7justice assistance, as determined by the secretary of administration, remain in effect
8until their specified expiration date or until modified or rescinded by the secretary
9of justice.
