SENATE AMENDMENT 2, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2001 SENATE BILL 96

SB96-SSA1-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB96-SSA1-SA2,1,2 1. Page 19, line 15: after that line insert:

SB96-SSA1-SA2,1,3 " Section 56m. 457.12 (3) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB96-SSA1-SA2,1,8 457.12 (3) (a) After receiving a master's degree in professional counseling or its equivalent, or after completing the course work for a doctorate degree in professional counseling or its equivalent, engaged in the equivalent of at least 2 years of full-time supervised clinical professional counseling practice approved by the professional counselor section.".

SB96-SSA1-SA2,1,10 2. Page 19, line 16: before "is renumbered" insert ", as affected by 2001 Wisconsin Act .... (this act),".

SB96-SSA1-SA2,1,12 3. Page 19, line 19: after the comma insert "or after completing the course work for a doctorate degree in professional counseling or its equivalent,".

SB96-SSA1-SA2,2,1 4. Page 33, line 11: after that line insert:

SB96-SSA1-SA2,2,2 " Section 89m. Initial applicability.

SB96-SSA1-SA2,2,4 (1) The amendment of section 457.12 (3) (a) of the statutes first applies to applications received on the effective date of this subsection.".

SB96-SSA1-SA2,2,5 5. Page 33, line 12: delete lines 12 to 14 and substitute:

SB96-SSA1-SA2,2,7 " Section 90m. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the first day of the 6th month beginning after publication, except as follows:

SB96-SSA1-SA2,2,9 (1) The amendment of section 457.12 (3) (a) of the statutes and Section 89m (1) of this act take effect on the day after publication.".
