SB286-SSA1-SA3,1,3 3" Section 3m. 118.019 (3) of the statutes is renumbered 118.019 (3) (a).
SB286-SSA1-SA3, s. 3p 4Section 3p. 118.019 (3) (b) of the statutes is created to read:
SB286-SSA1-SA3,1,85 118.019 (3) (b) At the beginning of each school year, each school board that
6provides abstinence education, as defined in 42 USC 710 (b) (2), shall send a notice
7to the parent or guardian of each pupil enrolled in the school district that includes
8the following statements:
SB286-SSA1-SA3,1,99 1. The pupil will receive abstinence education.
SB286-SSA1-SA3,2,210 2. Abstinence education does not teach pupils how to prevent pregnancy and
11sexually transmitted infections, such as human immunodeficiency virus and

1acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, other than by remaining abstinent from
2sexual activity.".
