(3) (a) Beginning with fiscal year 2000-01 and ending with fiscal year
52019-20, the department may obligate moneys under the subprogram for land

(2) (e) 1. In this paragraph:

1a. "Department order" means an order or directive issued by the department
2to maintain, repair, or modify a dam.

b. "High hazard dam" has the meaning given in s. 31.19 (1g) (a).

2. Beginning on July 1, 2010, in addition to financial assistance provided under
5par. (d), the department shall provide financial assistance for dam safety projects
6described in subd. 3. from the appropriation account under s. 20.866 (2) (ta) of not
7more than $19,500,000.

3. Notwithstanding the eligibility requirements for financial assistance under
9par. (c), the department shall provide financial assistance from the appropriation
10account under s. 20.866 (2) (ta) for projects to maintain, repair, or modify a dam to
11increase the safety of the dam, regardless of whether the dam is subject to a
12department order. The department shall give priority under this paragraph to high
13hazard dams and dams that are subject to a department order. Notwithstanding the
14limitations under par. (a) 1. and 3., financial assistance provided under this
15paragraph is limited to no more than 75 percent of the cost of the project, but not more
16than $1,000,000.

4. For purposes of s. 23.0917, moneys provided under this paragraph shall be
18treated as moneys obligated from the land acquisition subprogram under s. 23.0917
19(3). No moneys may be obligated under this paragraph after June 30, 2013.".
