ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 15, TO 2009 SENATE BILL 434

SB434-AA15,1,2 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by senate substitute amendment 1, as follows:

SB434-AA15,1,3 1. Page 2, line 1: delete "and (2r)" and substitute ", (2r), and (2t)".

SB434-AA15,1,4 2. Page 2, line 6: after "(3), " insert "and subject to sub. (2t)".

SB434-AA15,1,5 3. Page 3, line 14: delete that line.

SB434-AA15,1,6 4. Page 4, line 6: after that line insert:

SB434-AA15,1,11 "(2t) Determination concerning unpasteurized milk. (a) The department shall study whether the sale of unpasteurized milk for human consumption is safe. The department shall submit its conclusion to the joint committee on finance no later than the first day of the 25th month beginning after the effective date of this paragraph .... [LRB inserts date].

SB434-AA15,1,13 (b) 1. If the department concludes that the sale of unpasteurized milk for human consumption is not safe, sub. (2g) (b) does not take effect.

SB434-AA15,2,11 2. If the department concludes that the sale of unpasteurized milk for human consumption is safe, the joint committee on finance shall review that conclusion. If the committee approves the conclusion, it shall provide a copy of that approval to the department and to the legislative reference bureau. If the legislative reference bureau receives a copy of an approval under this subdivision, the legislative reference bureau shall publish the approval in the administrative register and sub. (2g) (b) takes effect on the first day of the 25th month beginning after the effective date of this subdivision .... [LRB inserts date], or on the first day of the month after the month in which the approval is published in the administrative register, whichever is later. If the joint committee on finance does not approve the conclusion, sub. (2g) (b) does not take effect.".
