SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2011 ASSEMBLY BILL 311

AB311-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the engrossed bill as follows:

AB311-SA1,1,3 1. Page 2, line 2: after "events;" insert "eliminating back tag requirements for deer, elk, and bear hunting;".

AB311-SA1,1,4 2. Page 4, line 16: after that line insert:

AB311-SA1,1,5 " Section 3p. 29.024 (6) (am) of the statutes is repealed.

AB311-SA1, s. 3r Section 3r. 29.024 (6) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB311-SA1,1,8 29.024 (6) (b) The clerk of each county appointed under par. (a) 2. or (am) 2. may accept the appointment.

AB311-SA1, s. 3t Section 3t. 29.024 (6) (d) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB311-SA1,1,11 29.024 (6) (d) The department may promulgate rules regulating the activities of persons appointed under pars. par. (a) 2., 3. and 4. and (am) 2. and 3.".

AB311-SA1,1,13 " Section 5bt. 29.171 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB311-SA1,2,2 29.171 (3) The department shall issue to each person who is issued a resident archer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.

AB311-SA1, s. 5bu Section 5bu. 29.173 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB311-SA1,2,5 29.173 (3) Deer tag and back tag. The department shall issue to each person who is issued a resident deer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.

AB311-SA1, s. 5bv Section 5bv. 29.182 (4) (g) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB311-SA1,2,11 29.182 (4) (g) The organization known as the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation shall transfer the license awarded or under par. (f) only to a person who is qualified to receive a resident elk hunting license and shall transfer to that person the carcass tag and back tag that was issued by the department to the organization under subs. sub. (6) and (7).

AB311-SA1, s. 5bw Section 5bw. 29.182 (7) of the statutes is repealed.

AB311-SA1, s. 5bx Section 5bx. 29.184 (6g) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB311-SA1,2,21 29.184 (6g) (c) The organization known as the Wisconsin Bear Hunters' Association, Inc., shall transfer the certificate awarded under par. (b) only to persons who are qualified to receive a Class A bear hunting license. A person who receives a certificate may present that certificate to the department and request a resident or nonresident Class A bear hunting license. Upon receipt of the certificate and the appropriate required fees, the department shall issue the holder of the certificate a resident or nonresident Class A bear hunting license and the carcass tag and back tag under subs. sub. (8) and (9).

AB311-SA1,3,3 29.211 (3) Deer tag and back tag. The department shall issue to each person who is issued a nonresident deer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.

AB311-SA1, s. 6d Section 6d. 29.216 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB311-SA1,3,6 29.216 (3) Deer tag and back tag. The department shall issue to each person who is issued a nonresident archer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.

AB311-SA1, s. 6f Section 6f. 29.231 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB311-SA1,3,9 29.231 (4) The department shall issue to each person who is issued a sports license a deer tag and back tag.

AB311-SA1, s. 6h Section 6h. 29.235 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB311-SA1,3,12 29.235 (4) Deer tag and back tag. The department shall issue to each person who is issued a conservation patron license a deer tag and back tag.".

AB311-SA1,3,14 " Section 7g. 29.301 (3) of the statutes is repealed.

AB311-SA1, s. 7m Section 7m. 29.561 of the statutes is repealed.".
