SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 534

SB534-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB534-SA1,1,3 1. Page 3, line 15: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with line 19 and substitute:

SB534-SA1,1,5 "344.16 (2m) The secretary may issue a certificate of self-insurance under sub. (2) to a religious sect if all of the following apply:

SB534-SA1,1,9 (a) The secretary determines that the members of the religious sect have a history of not less than 25 years of mutual financial assistance in time of need to the extent that they share in financial obligations of other members who would otherwise be unable to meet their obligations.

SB534-SA1,1,12 (b) The department receives an application for a certificate of self-insurance from the religious sect within one year after the effective date of this paragraph .... [LRB inserts date].".
