SB144-AA3,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB144-AA3,1,3 1. Page 2, line 4: delete “The" and substitute “The Except as provided in subd. 3., the".

SB144-AA3,1,4 2. Page 3, line 4: after that line insert:

SB144-AA3,1,5 “ Section 2m. 196.378 (3) (a) 3. of the statutes is created to read:

SB144-AA3,2,2 196.378 (3) (a) 3. In a year, an electric provider or a customer or member of an electric provider may not create a renewable resource credit under subd. 1m. based on heat as described under sub. (1) (h) 1. k. or heat that is a byproduct of a manufacturing process and is used to provide thermal energy for another purpose unless the electric provider has satisfied the electric provider's renewable energy percentage required under sub. (2) (a) 2. for that year with renewable resource credits created not using heat as described under sub. (1) (h) 1. k. or heat that is a byproduct of a manufacturing process and is used to provide thermal energy for another purpose.”.
