SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 228

SB228-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB228-SA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 1: after that line insert:

SB228-SA1,1,3 “ Section 1t. 20.410 (1) (gj) of the statutes is created to read:

SB228-SA1,1,6 20.410 (1) (gj) Facility sale and lease. All moneys received from the sale of property under 2017 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), section 9101 (1) (a), for the purpose of leasing that property.”.

SB228-SA1,1,8 2. Page 2, line 9: delete “municipality" and substitute “taxation district and county".

SB228-SA1,1,9 3. Page 2, line 10: delete “paid" and substitute “received".

SB228-SA1,1,11 4. Page 2, line 11: delete “previous owner of" and substitute “taxation district and county for".

SB228-SA1,1,12 5. Page 3, line 21: after that line insert:

SB228-SA1,2,1 “ Section 9n. 302.316 of the statutes is created to read:

SB228-SA1,2,7 302.316 Use of prison facility. The prison facility described under 2017 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), section 9101 (1) (b), may be used for the detention of any person detained in a county jail, or any person who is not a maximum security inmate, if the person is segregated from the maximum security inmates of the prison facility. The department may contract with a county for the detention in the prison facility of persons detained in the county jail.”.
