1An Act to repeal 13.123 (2);
to renumber and amend 13.123 (3); and
to amend
213.45 (3) (a) of the statutes;
relating to: discontinuance of interim allowances
3to members of the legislature for postage and clerical assistance.

This bill discontinues the interim allowances paid to members of the legislature
for postage and clerical assistance during months when the legislature is in actual
session 3 days or less. These allowances currently amount to $25 per month for
representatives to the assembly and $75 per month for senators.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

(3) (a) For any day for which the legislator does not file a claim under s.
1113.123 (1), any legislator appointed to serve on a legislative committee or a

the legislator was appointed by either house or the officers
2thereof shall be reimbursed from the appropriations under ss. 20.315 and 20.765 (1)
3(a) or (b) for actual and necessary expenses incurred as a member of the committee.

5(1) The repeal of section 13.123 (2) of the statutes first applies beginning with
6the month in which this act takes effect.
