Whereas, the FFA and agricultural education provide a strong foundation for
328,894 youths in Wisconsin and for the future of agriculture; and

Whereas, agricultural education and the FFA ensure a steady supply of young
7professionals to meet the growing demands of the scientific business of agriculture;

Whereas, the FFA motto; "Learning to do, doing to learn, earning to live and
10living to serve"; gives direction to these students, who strive to become leaders with
11a vision; and

Whereas, the FFA performs the valuable services of encouraging cooperation,
13promoting good citizenship and inspiring patriotism among its members; now,

2Wisconsin legislature designate the week of February 15 through February 22, 1997,
