This assembly resolution provides the assembly confirmation of the governor's
appointment of Senator Margaret A. Farrow as lieutenant governor.

Whereas, the Wisconsin Constitution provides: "Article XIII, Section 10 (2)
4Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of lieutenant governor, the governor shall
5nominate a successor to serve for the balance of the unexpired term, who shall take
6office after confirmation by the senate and by the assembly."; and

Whereas, Governor McCallum has nominated Senator Margaret A. Farrow to
8serve as lieutenant governor; now, therefore, be it

9Resolved by the assembly, That, pursuant to article XIII, section 10 (2), of the
10Wisconsin Constitution, Margaret A. Farrow is confirmed by the assembly as
11lieutenant governor; and, be it further

1Resolved, That, immediately upon the adoption of this resolution by the
2assembly, the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy thereof to the senate and the
3governor notifying them that Margaret A. Farrow is confirmed by the assembly as
4lieutenant governor.
