The Honorable, The Legislature:
Enclosed please find the Miller Park monthly progress report for the month of October 1997 for your review and consideration. As the report indicates, our Miller Park project is well on its way toward our "four for four" objectives of constructing a quality facility, on time, within budget, and with meaningful community participation.
The District continued to make significant progress on many bid packages and construction contracts during the month of October. These bid packages and contracts included the food services equipment, structural precast concrete, structural steel frame, stadium seats, architectural precast and mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
Construction work on the ballpark and site continues to move forward on time and within budget. Our project safety record has been outstanding to date, and our safety efforts and work approach will ensure that performance will continue. Our project participation efforts have met or exceeded all of our goals and expectations to date, and the trend in this aspect of our project strongly indicates that an overall successful participation program will be achieved.
Please feel free to contact me if you should have any questions or comments regarding the enclosed progress report.
Sincerely,
