Notice of Availability of Proposed Regional Haze State Implementation Plan
Under section 285.14 (2), Wis. Stats., the Department of Natural Resources is required to publish a notice of availability of a proposed state implementation plan (SIP) that has been submitted to the standing committees of the legislature with jurisdiction over environmental matters. The proposed Regional Haze SIP was submitted to the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Environment and the Assembly Committee on Natural Resources on January 19, 2011 and is available for review on the Department's website at
http://dnr.wi.gov/air/aq/particles/vishaze.htm.
The Department developed the proposed SIP in accordance with 40 CFR section 51.308. The Department intends to hold a public hearing on the proposed SIP in March, 2011 and submit the final SIP to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in April, 2011.
