RE: Petition for Repeal of Chapter WEM 6 Dear Senator Nass and Representative Neylon:
On behalf of the Emergency Management Division (WEM) of the Department of Military Affairs, I submit this petition for your consideration to authorize WEM to repeal ch. WEM 6, which establishes certain standards for response and reimbursement procedures, including eligibility for reimbursement, for regional and local hazardous substance emergency response teams. Chapter WEM 6 was promulgated under the authority of s. 323.70(7), Stats. That subsection was repealed by 2021 WI Act 104 and no other rulemaking authority was granted by that Act. The proposed rule repeals ch. WEM 6. Thank you.
