SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 3

SB3-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB3-SA1,1,4 1. Page 2, line 2: after "purpose," insert "except that this subsection does not exclude transactions that are primarily for an agricultural purpose from ch. 427 and".

SB3-SA1,1,7 2. Page 2, line 3: delete lines 3 and 4 and substitute "except that this subsection does not exclude credit transactions that are primarily for an agricultural purpose from s. 422.210.".

SB3-SA1,1,10 3. Page 2, line 14: delete that line and substitute "credit for personal, family, or household purposes or, for purposes of ch. 427 only, for agricultural purposes. A person other".

SB3-SA1,1,11 4. Page 11, line 12: after that line insert:

SB3-SA1,1,12 " Section 38m. 427.102 of the statutes is amended to read:

SB3-SA1,2,3 427.102 Scope. This chapter applies to conduct and practices in connection with the collection of obligations arising from consumer transactions , including transactions that are primarily for an agricultural purpose.

SB3-SA1, s. 39m Section 39m. 427.103 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB3-SA1,2,7 427.103 (1) "Claim" means any obligation or alleged obligation arising from a consumer transaction, including a transaction that is primarily for an agricultural purpose.

SB3-SA1, s. 40m Section 40m. 427.104 (1) (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB3-SA1,2,12 427.104 (1) (intro.) In attempting to collect an alleged debt arising from a consumer credit transaction or other consumer transaction, including a transaction primarily for an agricultural purpose, where there is an agreement to defer payment, a debt collector shall may not:".
